Parted Magic is a ~35MB LiveCD/USB/PXE with its elemental purpose being to partition hard drives. Although GParted and Parted are the main programs, the CD/USB also offers programs like Partition Image, TestDisk, fdisk, sfdisk, dd, ddrescue, etc.

If filesystem tools are what you are looking for, Parted Magic supports the following: aufs, ext2, ext3, ext4, fat16, fat32, hfs, hfs+, jfs, linux-swap, ntfs, ocfs2, reiserfs, reiser4, xfs, and zfs.

  This is a great tool to keep on hand. It really works, and it looks nice, too.

  This is a really good CD to keep and use for partitioning disks. This CD has worked on all systems I have tried so far (GParted CD has not).
The GParted application on this CD allows you to see what you are doing with partitions when creating/resizing/moving/reformatting.
Other utilities on the CD let you change partition labels, mount partitions, and edit files.
I have used this CD to resize NTFS, FAT32, ext3 partitions on laptop and desktop systems without problems.
