audio-convert-mod is a branch off the original audio-convert script. It is a (GNOME) nautilus script that will convert a file or batch convert many files to or from many popular formats at a simple right-click. It can also be used in KDE, but it then must be run from the terminal.
audio-convert-mod has a simple, easy to use interface that will first ask for the output file type, the quality of compression/bitrate, and then it will decode and re-encode your files with a progress bar to keep you updated on what's going on.
